About The Author
Becky Henry, CPCC is an Author, Speaker and Coach. Becky became an “unwilling expert,” as she and her family went down that challenging road that is an eating disorder. They quickly learned that often the family’s sweet daughter “disappears,” as her body is taken over by the eating disorder’s strong and powerful hold on her mind.
Through her own learning path, Becky provides help for parents of children with eating disorders and now advocates for families in workshops, tele-classes and coaches them one-on-one. She conducts family support groups and is a speaker for health professionals, bringing the parent’s viewpoint. Join the discussion on her blog at Creating The Path To Wellness.
As the author of Just Tell Her To Stop: Family Stories of Eating Disorders, Becky Henry is passionately committed to the empowerment of women and girls. She believes that true healing comes from love and compassion, and has been a source of strength to countless families living with eating disorders.
She provides a safe nurturing place for families wondering, "How can I help my child with an eating disorder?" She helps them see that they can reclaim their lives from the eating disorder and be the healthiest support possible for their loved one.
Clients say coaching with Becky provided the safe nurturing place to be heard, receive answers and comfort while bringing them out of the dark woods of caring for someone with an eating disorder. She helps them to connect with their strength, more effectively support their loved one’s recovery and save financial resources all while reclaiming their own lives. If you want to apply for a free consultation go to Hope Network and submit your information.
As Becky feels strongly about mental health parity, a portion of the book proceeds are going to support the work of the Eating Disorders Coalition (EDC).
Becky brings over eighteen years of experience in leadership, organization, meeting facilitation, conflict resolution, fundraising, time management and real estate redevelopment.
Becky studied psychology at Gustavus Adolphus College and is a graduate of The Coaches Training Institute, San Rafael, CA. She is a member of the Minnesota Coaches Association. She is a volunteer member of the Board for F.E.A.S.T.-ed (Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment of Eating Disorders), Schools and Communities in Partnership (SCIP) and the National Eating Disorders Association.
